The main body of the Shanghai International Advertising Festival logo is a calligraphy design with a unique Chinese cultural heritage, intended to convey creative ideas with Chinese characteristics.
The English part, using all uppercase spelling and using hard and straight fonts, reflects Shanghai’s cultural confidence.
The graphic part combines many images of magnolia, sail, river and so on. As a city flower in Shanghai, Magnolia has distinctive Shanghai characteristics. The river flowing through the petals is an abstract expression of the Huangpu River. The image of sails and rivers not only indicates the geographical characteristics of the birthplace of the Shanghai International Advertising Festival, but also the vision of Shanghai and even Chinese advertisers to pass on Chinese creativity to the world.
